Have a 1988 tracker txs with Mercury classic fifty with power tilt / trim.. Finished some work on boat and engine and took to lake for test run. Ran great...but we were in open water running around 30 mph and hit a large piece of wood that was barely showing above the water. Loud bang and engine...
When I squeeze primer bulb pretty hard fuel squirts out top carb.. motor cranks and runs fine...does not seem to leak when running.. Should I bite the bullet and pull the carbs and replace needles. It appears the carb does not have a replaceable seat Is this so ??
Hope this is the right place to ask a question but here goes: I recently purchased a 1956 fleetwin 7.5 horse motor. It is complete and supposed to be in great shape. My question is, will a 1955 fleetwin 7.5 horse powerhead be a suitable donor for spare parts.
Thanks
