    Alpha 1 Gen 2 plastic coupling broke and deformed

    1997 Merc Alpha 1 Gen2. I'm changing out the water pump in the drive with a Sierra kit, and the white plastic pipe above the coupling was found broken in two and looked like it got hot and deformed. The pump was still OK, and I've never had an overheating issue. I don't see what purpose this...

    Drive oil seeping out of water intake slots-96 Alpha

    This just started. I ran it with muffs (to see if larger main jets and higher float level would help my 3.0LX stop bogging-it didn't seem to help at all) put it back in the garage and noticed the oil trickling down the skeg from the slots, the next day. It did not do this before now. Dammit...
