I was given a 15 HP Johnson the only problem is it was submerged. The PO had it on a jon boat and left it on the lake when the rains came. Well it filled the boat and submerged it. I was wondering if there was a chance to be able to fire it up again. Thanks for your time.

I have a 1950 Tubbs Craft semiv 15 foot aluminum. My question is, is a 35 hp too big for it. The boat does not show a hp rating on it. I have a 7.5 merc on it now but it is anemic for this application. The engine runs good but is just to small. I was thinking of going eith around a 20...
What size motor should I put on this boat? It is a 15' aluminum v hull. I have a friend that has a 7.5 but I am leaning towards a 15. What would be too much?
