Simple question I believe. Will it matter if the bracket and filter are mounted higher than the tank and fuel pump? Also is the distance between the filter and the pump relevant to anything?? Thanks for your help!!
Who here would consider a small hole in the U-joint bellows "about the tip of your finger" a deal breaker on a boat purchase after test driving the boat for nearly 2 hours with no other complications?

Found this stuff hanging out in my fuel lines. Ill be replacing the fuel tank as it looks like it has began to rust on the inside.

This is the sediment I found going from the tank straight to the fuel pump. Looks like rust. Apparently the steel tank is rusting from the inside out. Just purchased a fuel/water separator the other day. Looks like ill also be getting a new tank and fuel pump to go...

This is under the rubber washer it is caked in there.. I'm gunna try and clean what I can get too. If this is frugal and the pump needs to just be replaced someone let me know.

New and old filter. Managed to drop the old one when I took it out. Also the new one came with a gasket. Which end does the gasket go on and which side does the spring push against? Sorry for all the newb questions lol
