change fuel/oil pump every 10 years and impeller every year...?
How difficult is it for a newcomer to boats, to change them himself, instead of paying the $700-00 quoted

I have told that my Evinrude SPL 50 HP (oil injection)1997, has an alarm system that will inform me ...if the oil stops injecting, that the motor is about to seize.

The oil injection works, but I dont trust them...(old fashioned)
can I disconnect the eletrical wire, cut and block off the oil pipe?
or do I have to do something different.

is it wise to have :
Trolling battery, cranking battery,6.0 gal portable fuel tank, oil injection tank all squeezed together.
I would have thought , you have to keep your gas tank well away fronm any battery
