    '61 40Hp Johnson Carb is cleaned, but still doesnt Start!

    Hi , thnks for looking at my Post<br /><br />I have a '61 40Hp johnson outboard, the plugs fire out of the cylinder and I cleaned the carb today. The engine turns over but doesnt start. It has been in storage for a long time. New battery on it. Can anyone pls tell me what the problem could be...

    1961 40hp johnson won't start!

    Hi, I have just taken a 1961 40hp electric seahorse motor out of storage. it has been there for 20 yrs, :( . Anyway bought new battery and gas tank and checked fuel bulb. the engine turns over good but won't start. I pulled plugs cleaned and tested outside of cylinder they both spark well...
