How many gals. an hour can I expect to burn at 10 knots in a 36 foot cruiser (1966 wood) with twin 318's?. And, can I run at 8 knots on one motor with any fuel economy?. Thanks.
Im looking at mid 80s trawlers..34-38 feet and wanted some advise as to which mnf at that time had the best desiel power plants . Also which power plant and drive system works the best. I just got out of my omc outdrives and dont want to end up there again...if you know what I mean.Thanks
What would cause a propeller hub to a 302 i/o pin drive to mushroom the end of the hub at consistant low rpms.? This has happened 3 times. The first time I thought it was a cracked hub that just let loose. It has happened on brand new rehubs. Any ideas? Thanks

Ive got a 28 ft fiberform executive 2800 with twin 302s and omc sterndrives.The sterdrives run strong and maybe Ive lucked out. Im inquiring about the ability to change outdrives if need be. Or just to upgrade the technology.
My 28 ft fiberform omc outdrive has a prop problem. Its an electric shift. What happens is that starboard outdrive only shears hubs every @ 40 miles. Im not spinning the hub but shearing, the pin mushrooms the ears of the hub.It only happens on the starboard side. Its a ford 302. And will happen...
