    Help with prop question

    I have a 1976 Johnson 85 hp on a 18 foot pontoon. I only get 15 mph wot. I have a 13 pitch prop. What size prop would give me more mph?     I have a 76 85hp Johnson Javelin. I have installed card kits and new spark plugs and it is sputtering. It also only gets my 18' pontoon up to 15 mph without a load.     Hot Choke

    I have a 1976 Johnson Javelin 85 hp. The electric choke next to the carb was getting real hot and has now stopped working. Anyone now why this has happened? I cut the wires that run to it so it would stop.

    Help 85 hp Johnson

    What tools do you use to pull out the bearing carrier that is just behind the prop? It is held in place by 4 bolts. Will a regular pulley work?

    Broken Bolts

    I have a 1976 85 hp Johnson Javelin and I noticed that when I pumped lower unit gear oil it was leaking from the prop area. I saw that it had two bolts that were broken off just behind the prop. Any idea how to reomve them. Do I use a puller to remove the shaft guide? Please advise.
