    super thunder-bolt 50 hp lower unit

    The lower unit has a long shaft with a cracked housing. I found a unit but it has a short shaft. Can anyone tell me if these are interchangable and is it a big job? Its a 73 mod.. Thanks

    super thunderbolt 500

    I have been given a 1965 sears and roebuck speedboat, need to know the year of the motor. The serial number on the motor is3718205. Can anyone help? I have had the motor fired up, sounds good, lower unit is cracked and unrepairable, is it worth trying to find a used one? Please help.
