    Spun Hub Causes

    Please tell me this hole is supposed to be there.......

    79 Erude 25 shortshaft elec start. Just noticed some black oil leaking out of my lower unit. I had never noticed it before, but there is a small hole, 1/8 to 1/4 inch around, even with he bottom of the upper LU lube screw and about an inch and a half behind it toward the rear of the housing...

    Loose idle screw...

    The lean-rich idle adjustment on my 79 Evinrude 25 vibrates out of adjustment as the motor runs. Is there a way to stop this? Once I get it set, it runs fine till it vibrates it's way back toward the lean setting. Perhaps a drop of gun tite or other such product?
