    Does anyone know which wires I need to tap to connect a tach to my BF9.9D tiller engine? I don't think I'm getting close to running in the recommended RPM range during break-in and want to go to a lower pitch prop. No sense in buying a prop without knowing what RPM I'm running at WOT.

    Should I go by the info listed here: Timing and Sync of Merc Inlines (to 1988) or the info in the manual? The thread shows max timing should be 21 deg and the manual shows 30 deg. Which to use?

    Is this acceptable telltale flow?
