I noticed the screw where the condenser and coil leads attach to the points on the top compared to the screw on the bottom and realized I had put the screw in from the opposite side where it goes through that fiberboard...

    I'm using a simple inline tester. Top wire has weak spark and will not start if I have the plug boot off the bottom spark plug. In reverse, inline tester shows very bright spark on the bottom and motor will start whether top boot is on the plug or not. I will swap the two spark plugs around...

    I have it on a sawhorse in a trash can full of water with the hose running, it cranks right up and runs at idle. After a few seconds it stops smoking as much and you can hear the idle smooth out. I put it in forward so I could throttle it all the way up for maybe 1-2 seconds then back to idle...

    Took the tiller handle apart, got all the old caked up grease off, pulled that control arm out, made sure both sides of the plastic pin was intact where it went into the slots, sprayed some PB Blaster into the worm gears to make sure they moved freely. Greased the shaft inside the tiller handle...

    The previous post with 2 pictures, doesn't the roller line up with the two marks on the cam, and when you twist the throttle, it's on the end of the cam?

    This is where the gears from the tiller handle mesh and the tower shaft. I do not see a plastic pin.
