THE PRICE IS THE SAME THE MERC IS 9.8 AND THE YAMA IS 8HP
WHAT WOULD YOU PICK AND WHY
LET'S SAY UNDER NORMAL CONDITIONS WHAT YOU WOULD GET AS A USED MOTOR(EACH HAVING 125 PSI, NEEDING NEW WATER PUMPS,etc..
here's the scope
Ia issue where it seemed the LU was slipping and thought it was prop I had new prop so put it on and no slip... the next time I went out after that it slipped with hardly a load so I thought maybe I needed to re torque the new prop so I did to 65lb and went out and it seemed...
went out and warmed up throttled up then it revd up some and caught again, I've been adjusting the tilt to get it the best spot it is manual and thought i had it according to my last 2 trips buddy with me said it was cavitation so I stopped and dropped it 1 hole and seemed all good got to spot...
as you look down at my signature you can see my boat and specs. Does any one know if it would be alright to pull a tube? 1 or 2 person? I have 2 eyelets on the back and would the rig with the float and double hooks and then rope and tube behind. I've a petty good hole shot and run about 27 knots...
when you turn off motor the tach stays at 1000 and then when you turn the ing back on it drops back to 0..... Why is this happening and what should i do to fix it?
so i switched Lu's and i went from a 1.81 i believe (from marking and counting drive shaft rotation) to 1.64 so I'm not sure where i will be my prop is 10 3/8 x 13
will i need another now or will i be close enough
look to signature for boat motor
So i re-checked stator,trigger/and coils all good well one coil seemed like 700 ohms but that does not explain no spark any where fired up last week and ran good don't know if i need to replace switch box
It fired up today like normal then just slowed down to off any idea
fuel gauge not working since i got boat 2mths ago It seems when you turn key on volt meter goes up to 12.6 and while fuel gauge goes to down past empty( of course it's on E to start with) so looked at wiring and the wires come from the sending unit to the gauge 1 on the ground and the other on...
well ran the motor today seemed to be running good so i cut the fuel off at the tank and let her die out well went out there to get stuff out of the boat and the bulb was flat should it do that??
I went ahead and opened the fuel up and it ballooned back
