    exh cover gaskets?

    rebuilding 30 evinrude and i have 3 gaskets for my exhaust cover,one is for the cylinder which is different than the other two.is this an extra put in the kit, or do i use all three? id be lost without you guys,thanks

    adhesive m?

    just rebuilding my 85 30 evinrude and was wondering a few things,first i was intalling the bypass cover and it said to use adhesive m?what is this similar to? also the manual said that i must use a fixture to tighten the connecting rods, is there a way to do this without the fixture?thanks guys

    502 timing V.S. 454?

    Any one know why the 502 has a shorter curve than a 454? Mr.Teague claims to set to a higher curve between 32-34 while merc says 28 degrees,i do know that too much will cause detenation and exhuast heat if too little,whats your thoughts on this topic?

    GLM casting flash

    Just got a set of new iron manifolds for the 502 today,they look pretty straight but notice quite a bit of casting flash around the mouth of ports.Think i could clean them up with the die cast grinder?I port match the heads and intake, and the machine shop said i did a good job for a firsttime...

    changing from 1:36 to 1.50 prop selection

    hi guys,i got a fresh 502 going back in my 22 indy,but my 1:36 bravo is beyond repair and replacing with bravo1 with 1:5 to1. My old bravo was running a 3 blade 23p mirage plus with no problems but what should i be looking for now in a blade?THANKS.
