    Idle Problem

    I took my 73 50hp evinrude out the other day. I noticed that it was running great but the only way that it will idle is if I push the chock in about quater of the way in. Is it just out of adjustment or could it be inside the carb.

    tach

    Where is a good place to find a tach for a two cycle. Will a tach for a car wok and if so how do you wire it up. I know one wire is battery power, one is for the light in the tach, one is the ground but where would the other wire go. Dose it go to the coils.

    Question about boat speed

    I have a 14' fiberglass hustler made by skip jack. It has a 50hp evinrude. I would say it weights around 1000lbs. I would like to know what would be top speed for this boat.<br />How much difference is there between boat speed and vechile speed.

    year of this evinrude

    My brother-in-law is looking at this evinrude motor. The man who has it does not know the year, the model # is50ESL73 R and the serial # is E3817851. He also wants to know the hp on this motor is it a 50 or a 55, and will it be a good motor to put on a 15' fiberglass boat
