    need to know if i can take the flywheel off to take a look at where the magnets are and wires i believe there may be a short some where their i am not sure if i can take the flywheel off with special tools or is it simple and i can do it thanks

    question?

    I i have a late 70 merc 110 9.8 I wonder if there is a way to or a trick to make the engine not start when away from the boat so no one can just take off with it thanks.

    I just bought this outboard and i noticed on the drive shaft it has a plug on it and it says flush on it is this where you put muffs on because i do not see any other place where you could put muffs on like the bottom end thanks ps the plug is on the high end of the drive shaft. thanks

    oil film

    my late 70 110 9.8 mercury has a light oily film of some sort does any one know where this comes from? film is inside the engine block all over inside the cowl thanks.

    used motor

    hi i just bought a used late 70 merc 110 9.8 i started it up and i noticed water pissing out nice but later on i noticed it just dripping out is this normal and one other thing not sure can i buy muffs for this type of motor because i had to use a barrel ican not see any holes for it. thanks

    I have a mecury 9.8 110 serial # 4243205 can anyone tell me what year it is and if it has any other options like electric start etc.. one more thing the fuel connector on the motor is simillar to my evinrude fuel line can i use this thanks
