So I was told my motor is a 87 volvo 225, which is a 305... In 87 gm changed their blocks. But from what I have seen, the 87+ have valve cover bolts in the middle of the cover. Mine are around the sides.
does this mean that it is an older block -86.

I was trying to change the water pump on my new to me evinrude, and I mistakenly removed the little screw at the bottom that is right next to the oil drain.
I can wiggle around the piece inside until I can get the screw back in, but something is wrong. it feels like it is binding and wont...
My buddy just plugged his heat exchanger with sand. The strainer on the heat exchanger did little to stop the sand. Wondering if anyone has any experience with any low cost strainers that could be added before the water pump that would catch the sand.

Ive got a buddy that has an older aq 270 outdrive. He wants a sensor that tells him what position his drive is in at all times. Wondering if anyone has seen an add on sensor that would do this.

Its the seal for the upper unit right behind the ujoint.
This is just some info comparing the two sets of props. Tests were done with a 19.5 foot Sunrunner with aq225 engine, which is a gm 305.
With the B7's, the boat had a maximum gps speed of 46 mph
With the C7's the boat had a maximum gps speed of 50 mph
