    Mercury 115 warning buzzer

    I have a mercury 115. my waring buzzer is on. I unpluged the temp sensor on the back of the engine, buzzer still on. I unplug a pair of wires going to something on the front of the engine under the lower carb and the buzzer went off. What could it be?

    I'm getting ready to buyu a boat that has an evinrude on it, i'm not sure what year or horse power it is. I think a 48 hp.Is there serial number break down listing.
