    Next question is, does it work? Might make for an interesting project. See if you can get it working then make up something it will go in or on? Could be hours of fun in the work shop.

    FYI, my speedo does not work ether as the tube from the pitot is off.. Next time I change the impeller I will fix but the speedometer is also not really required. Tack, oil pressure and temp are all you need, IMHO.

    I agree, I have never relied on the gauge. As stated above its all feel and sound. Its almost like flying, lol. I raise the outdrive and the boat comes out of the water and only about a foot of the boat is in... Love it.

    you are correct, they are identical... the one on the port side is the sender and the limit is on the starboard side, please correct me if I am wrong

    I over heated my 4.3 (same thing as the 3ltr) and along with the impeller I had to replace my exhaust baffles. I know I am using the wring term, there are plastic flapper in the exhaust that prevents water from going back into the motor ... I bet someone will be able to correct me or explain...

    I have one and it does seem to work OK. The pressure is not great but does gets the job done. I mix a citrus in the bucket and it seems to clean off the hull well enough but be careful to wash off the cleaner.

    Speaking of water muffs,,, a few years back I started my boat up in the drive way... all ran perfectly. I put the boat in the water and ran it for maybe 5 or 6 min. then it over heated.. keeping in mine I was 5 or 6 min. down the lake... Short story was my impeller had spun on the lower unit...
