    battery switch and charging

    94 120 Johnson and I have a starting and a deep cycle battery on a battery switch 1-2-ALL and off Is it bad to run the engine on ALL so both batteries will charge? Or will this fry the regulator? This is what I hear is it true

    Is there any performance advantages to running a highly polished stainless prop vs a painted stainless one??

    RPM & Speed sound right??

    1975 17' Hewes flats boat 1994 120 johnson 13-7/8" x 19 p 3 blade viper stainless prop I'm turning 5600 RPM wot at 43 mph GPS speed Does this sound about right??

    Tach signal negative volts??

    94 Johnson 120 v4 replaced rectifer Tach signal at tach reads negatine volts on a 20volt scale. negative volts goes up as the motor rpm goes up. At back of tach gray AND PURPLE wiring correct double checked that could tach be bad it has never worked ANY IDEAS:confused:
