On the back of the motor on top left looking from rear is what I think thermostat. When I flush motor I notice water coming out of a vent hole. Is this a problem????? Also my motor seems to use little two stroke oil. Is this a problem also???? Any help appreciated. Thanks.
Just purchased a used 4 cylinder Merc 115. The guy I bougt it from "thought" it was a 1989 but was not sure. I have tried to find web site that help in my search but unlucky so far. Any help would be appreciated.
I had the 1965 Evinrude 75 horse that would run then die. After hours of frustration I changed the coil and it's all better now. Thanks for all the advice to all that helped.<br /><br />Mike
I have 1965 75 horse evinrude speedifour v4. Engine starts and runs good at low rpm but will die after a minute or so. Will also die if accelerated above fast idle.
Evinrude 75, 1965. Steady spark and then spark intermitently goes away and engine dies. Have spark plug tester in line and can observe this clearly. Any ideas??? I put in new points and condenser.
