    DESPERATE situation

"" the top vent hole "" The exhaust relief port on the back side of the midsection ?????? ""uncork the impeller plate"" ???? Not sure what that means, but yes, drop the gear case and have a look around. Might as well install a new impeller while you have it opened up.

    Fisher bosts

Fisher boats WERE top of the line UNTIL they were bought out by Brunswick. Brunswick cheapened them up. Pretty much took the Spectrum boat line and slapped the Fisher name on them in about 1996. They were no longer indestructible but they looked prettier. Did not like the way that welded...

    Kicker motor vs towing

No I haven't. Dad used it on a few trips and did have to use it once and put it on the transom, but not in rough water. His little boat, and mine, don't go out on big water. And if a storm kicks up, we usually head to shore and shelter under a 10x12 plastic tarp.

    Kicker motor vs towing

My 15 hp kicker is bolted to the transom, no bracket, always is on the boat. Used for trolling or emergencies. The other boat , 4 hp kicker, is in the boat, strapped down. Only used for emergencies. No towing or Good Samaritans available where I usually boat.

Making a 16' Aluminum fish boat TOO LIGHT.

I've been trying to find a better spring, something to give a bit more travel. Something like the coil over from my Honda trail 70.

    Need help with my prop

Definitely under powered. I had the same boat model and year. 65 hp was not enough, as you discovered. You need a more hp I believe it is rated for 125 hp. Put a 90, 115, or 125 on it and enjoy boating.

    Challenging loading

NO. The transom needs to be supported. To lessen the tongue weight, you move the entire axle forward. Possible adjustments to make would include lowering the bunks, backing in so that only 1 foot of the bunks are above the water. Raising the winch so the strap is pulling level, or slightly...
