    It might be helpful to know the value and age of the boat. Is there actually any damage to the boat? May be to your benefit to fix it yourself to avoid the salvage title. Used outdrives are plentiful. Insurance company may just be looking for a way to clear that boat from their portfolio.

    Just make sure the tablet has gps. The app for the US is $20, then you download as many map regions as you want. If you want US and Canada regions, its $25.

    What trailer length

    I prefer longer. Allows me to open the rear hatch door on the van or suv without it hitting the winch stand. "Legally" you can have 4' of space between the coupler and the winch.

    Dozens of OEM cables on eBay. From dealerships that repower a boat and don't install the new cables. Choose from the gauge and length you want.

    Welcome to boats. When accelerating to get up on plane, the engine should be all the way down, then raised after the boat is on plane.
