I have a 89 chaparral signature 23 w) a OMC drive & a 95-00 vortec gen 1 cast #10243880.
It got really cold in NWF last week and I forgot to pull the motor water drain plugs. "IT CRACKED the BLOCK"
I'm so sad just rebuilt it last winter:( got to use it for 46...
I'm try to help a friend (w) a 1958 evinrude 18 hp.
I need ignition drawings of the eletical system.
He's not to computer savy and douts power of the forum.
Will you all help me show him the way,.

Hello all:) I have a 89 omc drive powered by a 2.3 ford.
My ? is, are the forward and reverse swapable?
I fixed my cable and shifting problems But I still have a clunk in the drive some times.
I think I've narrowed it down to the dog clutch and mabe the forward gaer does not do it in reverse, so...

How ever I have another ? for all of you.
When I exselerate some times I here a cluck come from the outdrive, any ideas?

I have a 89 Blue fin spectrum 19', 2.3L Ford Cobra outdrive.
It dosen't want to shift out of forward to nutral in the water.
The shift assist module makes the boat run kinda bad when plug in but dosen't help shifting.
Does it sound like the module is bad?
Do you think replacing it would fix the...
