    I have a 1978 140hp merc had no water from telltale replaced water pump had pressure ran engine for 1/2 hour then signs of milk in exhaust so i removed side plate from power head no sighns of cracks in block or water plates replaced all gaskets ran engine no more milk but water pressure is low...

    I have a 1978 140 merc straight 6 i just purchased the first thing i did was replaced the impella the teltal hole was plugged i cleaned it out an started the engine with a set of ears & a hose water flow was great i ran it for 1/2 hour at idle when i shut it down milky water driping from exhaust...

    I have a 1978 mercury 140 outboard that will not charge.Battery is good.was told somone tried to start eng with battery charger on high and that the rectifier is no good if so wear can I purchase one at a good price.
