    Trim motor test results

Update. I installed the new trim motor yesterday. Everything worked as expected with a new motor. I think I performed the "load test" correctly? I installed motor back to the TnT system, hooked everything up and tested as followed: I attached the green wire from TnT motor to the harness...

    Trim motor test results

The motor "worked" before and after the reassembly. The resistance came closer to specs. However, now needing two gaskets after the trim motor inspection, knowing the motor has been on there at least 5+ years i decided it's best to move on to a new motor. I do plan on measuring the resistance...

    Trim motor test results

I opened the motor. Only thing i could find was a brush that was stuck? Everything was clean or cleaned. The gaskets for top and bottom of case were deteriorated. So given the circumstances I purchased a new motor. As a note... after i put it back together i decided to perform a no load test...

what do you think of the low current draw results? You think it's an inadequate test?

    Trim motor test results

Yes. I disconnected the wires directly from the trim motor. I supplied power directly to the blue wire from the trim motor and a ground directly to the green wire. And vice versa

    Trim motor test results

Yes. I've done that. I completely isolated the incoming electrical to the motor while it was still attached to the system. I replicated the same intermittent issue by directly supplying power to the motor.

    Trim motor test results

I am mostly puzzled because of the low current. I was expecting a high resistance indicating a problem with the motor.

    Trim motor test results

yes, I bypassed the relays and replicated the same issue. This was done with the motor still attached to the system.

This carb gasket doesn't look right?

1985 150hp Evinrude E150STLC0S Original mounting gasket is top picture. Bottom photo came from the Evinrude site part number 439076 See how the new gasket is exposing part of the opening? This is going to be a problem, right??

Tilt & Trim reservoir plug 0321284

Is there a better option out there somewhere to get away from the slotted reservoir plug? I am also not thrilled to spend $25-$35 for a single screw! 1984 Ranger 1985 Evinrude E150STLCOS

    Carburetor/primer fuel line size?

E150STLC0S I searched but couldn't find the answer. About to rebuild carbs and replace all fuel lines. What size fuel lines are the smaller ones? Like the ones from the primer solenoid? TIA
