1989 Mercury 150 Blackmax
For some reason again today I had this problem, sometimes my engine starts first time then like today.
Starter engages spins the engine a couple of times then dis-engages and sits there spinning?
I've put a new 510CCA battery on and new brass terminals...

took the boat out for the first time this season and couldn't get it up on the plane?
Engine was full power but we just had the bow in the air the whole bloody time!
Any ideas? We did have a load of water in the transom when we got back, but I would've thought it would still plane...
Hi all,
Started the motor earlier just to check everything was ok to take out tomorrow.
Started fine the first time and I thought i'll check it starts back up OK.
Starter motor is engaging and spinning the flywheel about 3 times then disengaging and spinning...
Any ideas?
