I am rebuilding all 6 carbs on my 150 evinrude.60Deg.looper.The plastic fuel manifold on each throttle plate assy.had some sort of black non-hardening sealant.This is in addition to the 2 O rings where it goes into the throttle plate assy.What is that stuff and do I need it? Seloc repair manual...
I am in the process of ordering a water pressure gauge for my 1998 evinrude 150.Do I need a 0-30 psi or a 0-60 psi? Nowhere can I find info regarding this. Any help is appreciated.

I'm about to replace the impeller in my 70 evinrude and have done this on other smaller engines.I don't see where to disconnect the shift shaft.It appears to be inside the engine cowling behind the carbs.Looks like it's real fun to get at?Any advice?
