    9.8 merc fuel pump availability?

    Does anyone know of a supplier in Canada for parts for older mercs?<br />My dealer got a fuel pump kit in for me, but doesn't even remotely resembly the parts I need.<br />Thanks for your help.

    My Serial # is 7151121 Canadian I think, and supposed to be a '81. Where can I find info on this motor to confirm the year?<br />Also need advice on cleaning the carb and installing a new fuel pump kit. It also idles a little fast for trolling so I would like to slow it down short of installing...

    9.8 hp merc, 1981

    I am having idle problems with this motor, and I think it may be the carb. It runs well at full and half throttle, but will load up at slow trolling speed. Starts good, and I use shell oil/gas mix of 50:1<br />I set the slow speed adj while in gear, but it occasionally sputters and runs...
