    How can I find the year of my 25horse merc ob?<br /><br />The lower unit is leaking fluid from around where the prop comes out. How can I fix. Can I run it?<br /><br />Thanks in advance.

    Lower unit leaking fluid!

    I have an early 90's Mercury 25horse Merc outboard.<br /><br />This winter it was stored off the boat, on the floor. I noticed a blue-ish fluid slowly dripping out of the lower unit near the prop.<br /><br />Is this lower unit grease? What do I do? Can I run it?<br /><br />Thanks in advance!
