    i have a 66 rude 40 hp electric shift and rev went yesterday and i changed the fluid in the lower end and still no rev but now i cant get her to stay running with out the choke on i rebuild the carb last year and she has been running good all yr till now i am lost and i dont know what to do next...

    66 rude 40 hp hesistates

    hesistates at wot could it be bad coil does not do it at idle does it at half throttle to coil or gas? how would i check the coil ?

    i have a rude1966 40hp and at half throttle and wot i have a hesitation what could this be just started put new plugs in gap at .030 points where done about 2 moths ago

    adjustment of motor

    i was going to adjust my motor to raise it up so the gravity plate was near the bottom of the boat and i noticed it that the transum bracket is about 1 to 2 inches higher is this same on a 40 hp rude i dont want it to slide down or slide off if you know what i mean thanks for the help

    i want t install a temp gauge on my 66 rude 40 hp but i want to know the temp it should be on or around for normal and what is it if she is running hot ?
