I have an old 85hp Mercury Serial No# 3869411 and I need a wiring diagram if anyone has one in pdf form. I have lots of manuals, but not one that far back. Its the dist. type with the side mount harness connection. I don't have a side mount so I want to wire it up direct with the newer type...
How do you check a stator and trigger on a 1989 200hp Merc V6. They are off the motor and I want to see if they are still good. I don't know the ohm reading for this test.

I have a Merc 200 that want run after starting. It starts and revs up but dies after 10-15 seconds. Starts fairly quick, but want idle after starting. It will only start with fast idle engaged. Checked compression and have even comp all across the cyls.

Bottom plug on 90 Yamaha will foul only if it is run wot. I can run for ever at 1/2 or 3/4 throttle and never foul a plug. It takes about 10 miles before the plug fouls if I run it wide open. Idles great and runs good. Any suggestions. I know very little about Yamaha motors. Oh its a 3 cyl 2...
My trim was working fine and all of a sudden it was in the up postion and now it want move. The trim pump is running but nothing happens pushing up or down. The motor sounds normal and its full of fluid. Anyone have any sugguestions.
