I just put a 1981 Johnson 150 outboard on a 72 starcraft holiday. It is currently running a 14" 21 pitch stainless 3 blade propeller. I am only pulling 3800 RPM, should be around 5200. I have been doing some research (online and talking to the local boat shops) and believe that I should drop...
I recently picked up an 18' Starcraft aluminum boat hull for rebuild. I am planning on powering with a Johnson 150 (Off my bass boat with rotten transom and stringers.)
I want to open up the bow, add pedestal seats, rewire everything and hopefully put some fish in the cooler this coming...
