    proper pitch

    I have a 17' fiberglass that I am repowering from a 115 Hp to a 65 Hp (115 Hp went up). I accquired a 1972 Evinrude 65 Hp but it does not have a propeller and I am wondering what the best diameter/pitch combination would be for maximum efficiency.

    Evinrude identification

    I need help in identifying an Evinrude outboard I just bought. The engine shroud is a 70HP but I think the engine may be a 65 HP. I am also trying to find out what year it is, any help would be apprecitated. Model# 65ESL-72S, Serial# J3672982

    I have searched endlessly to find out what year my 115 HP Evinrude is. The Model number is 115393M and the serial number is J06477.
