    3.0 Engine dies when shifting from neutral into gear.

    We're dealing with an 83, Mercruiser 3.0 with R/MR/Alpha One drive. Stranded me for a while today. For a little back ground...boat sat under cover for three years without being started. Used a little Sea Foam through the carb, with fresh gas and she fired right up. First trip to the lake...

    Is there a filter inside the fuel pump?

    Hey folks. Been lurkin' for a while, first post. Working on a 1983 Mercruiser 4 cyl, 3.0. Having some fuel issues, and am rebuilding the carb now. My question is...does the fuel pump have a filter inside it that I need to change. If it does, I'm sure it's still got the OE filter in it...
