    I have a rude 78 model 140 hp the book recomends a UL77V spark plug but my local dealer said he does not stock them but he recomended the QL77JC4 , just wondering if there is any reason why I should not try and use this type of plug on my motor.

    67 Selectric Shift Lower Unit Slips

    Just bought 40 hp selectric shift motor, changed lower gear oil with 80/90 lower unit gear oil took out in the bay when running WOT it will kick out of gear and over rev the engine. Is this the correct oil for this motor? And should I flush out the lower unit first before changing again...

    Hesitation at wot

    1970 evenrude 40 hp runs fine in idle and at half throttle but when open up to wot the motor hesitates and shakes back and forth for a few seconds and then takes off and runs fine not sure if this is carb problem, timing or maybe the fuel pump.

    1970 40 HP Evinrude Plug Wires

    I have a 1970 40 hp evinrude, I just replaced coils, spark plugs and wires a few weeks ago. It runs fine but when I grabbed the lower plug wire to try to pull it off it shocks the heck out of me I dont have this problem with the top one. What could be the problem??????
