    1987 4.3 OMC Reverse only out of Water??

    I have A 1987 4.3l OMC Cobra drive, that will not go in to reverse in the lake, We get forward no problem everytime. We also can get reverse out of the water with the muffs on? The Esa seems to be working Idel drops and goes in to gear out of water? Just Not in the water? Please help!

    87 OMC COBRA SHIFTS IN TO REVERSE

    Ihave a 1987 fabuglas with a cobra outdrive, at the lake it ran fine all day then at a stop it went in to reverse fine but stumbled then stalled multi times, It was like it wasnt running right, but it would run fine in reverse no stumble, after a few starts and stall It finally full forward...
