what does the timing need to be set at on a 1971 johnson 50hp, and how do you adjust the timing? Which plug is number 1? I think this might be the cause for some of my hard starting problems and draining the bat. Thanks guys
throttle cable broke where it runs into the motor. I had plenty of extra so I just cut it down. It didn't work work so good when I got it on the lake. It was hard to start and then it gave me throttle at first, but when I slowed down and then tried to get back up to speed it had nothing more...
the motor runs and starts pretty good with the cover off, but put the cover on and it will not idle. The cover is not pinching anything and there is nothing blocking the intake. Where do I start?
