in order to change the water pump on a 1991 mercury 175 what do i have to do? ive changed water pumps before but on no motor bigger than a 40 horse. just wondering if anyone could give me an idea before i do it.
i own a jon boat with a 95' 40 horse mercury. the power trim was struggling badly and was very slow. i replaced the trim motor with a new one last year but the speed of the trim is very slow compared to all other boats i have hunted or fished out of. any idea why the slow trim, or is this normal??
i am looking to purchase a 96 yamaha 50 horse from a guy i work with. i am wanting to know if anyone knows how much compression i should be expecting from a motor of this age in good condition. i have not tested it but i will before the purchase. please let me know if you have any idea. thanks
