    Yamaha starter disengaging

    2001 OX 225 txrz. Starter spins fine when cold. When hot, the starter kicks out before engine starts. Slightest little pop of combustion and out it comes.

    ignition timing 502 mpi 0l352976

    Jumped the A&B terminals and the rpm's started surging along with the timing mark. Merc tech support says I need to raise the RPM's to 1800 then set it. My manual makes no mention of this, Does this sound correct ?

    Bravo 1 water pressure issues

    My last boat had similar pressure numbers as yours for the six years I owned it.. Ran perfect , temp spot on and ECM was happy with no alarm. Maybe your problem lies elsewhere.

    Rust in thermostat

    Raw water cooled 502 that keeps getting rust stuck in t-stat preventing it to come up to temp. ​Has happened a couple of times. Looking for a quick fix to get the engine temp up enough to flush the rust out. ​Pain in the butt to pull t-stat and clear it.. ​Suggestions welcomed. Thanks

    Fogging a MPI 502

    New boat with drive issue

    Just bought a 1999 powerquest with a 502 and B1 drive. ​Sight unseen CR deal. Anyways, motor runs but develops a knock, which sounds like a rod, after a couple of minutes.
