I have a 1977 70 horse johnson. I cleaned out the carburators and went through the motor. Everything looks OK to me. ALthough I did find a bad coil that was only firing half way so that has been replaced. When I put muffs on it it runs great. If I put the motor in a barrel it also runs ok...
