Mpi uses a different distributor and ignition than the thunderbolt system that has the sensor you speak of. Mpi fires off crank sensor ...

I did a 4.3 to 50/305 swap on a 2004 sea ray 200 sport. You need about 4” in front of the 4.3 as the 305 is longer. Side motor mounts...

Yes shift interrupt can be tripped and block spark. Just disconnect the wires take wire from coil off dist cap hold close to a ground...

either fuel is not getting to fuel bowl or idle passages in carb are not clean. Either way when you dump gas down you are providing fuel...
