    lower unit

    I have a 99 johnson 115V-4,looking for a lower unit. Will a 92, 90hp unit fit? I am not sure of the lenght yet, If that matters when you change lower unit, I do not know. Also was thinking I can use evinrude unit? Thanks, Scott

    What should I try Now?

    Johnson 1999 -115 looper Checked kill wire at ign. switch, pulled it and still no spark. Checked resistance at stator from brn to brn/yellow 1055 ohms. Checked org to org/blk only 55 ohms not 100 like called for. Could not get a voltage reading from stator, I tried, but nothing showed

    stranded 1 mile out today

    Motor ran fine and then just quit running. No spark is the problem.what should I look for? 1999- 115 Johnson V-4 looper compression 120 in all 4 cyl. spark tested all 4, nothing. cleaned grounds and checked all visable fuses.

    99 johnson 115 loop

    My first post. Last time out motor started running rough, rpm varies coughs, smokes. But when I idle around a while then gun it,it's fine again , when I hit rough water it started again but this time it wont stop running rough. fixed 2 leaking fuel lines, sounds pretty good when I pull off air...
