I had an overheating problem with my V4 johnson and i was looking into it today, I have just checked the compression and in one of the cylinders theres no compression at all, I opened it up and i see this... (see picture)

Where do i start..
I bought a 1988 johnson on a 17ft bowrider, the engine was overheating so i replaced:
impellar
thermotats
new gaskets + cleaned out salt grime off of jackets
new plugs
fuel tank + leads
voltage regulator
water hoses
and its still overheating,, what next????

1st off I want to thank everyone who helped me with the planing on my boat.
I changed the plugs, fuel line and two leads on the spark plugs where the wrong way round.
