    Runnig hot

    Hi, I have a 1996 V6 150HP 2.0L Merc.<br /><br />I just put in brand new t-stats, new temp gauge, new water pump and brand new prop. The engine runs cool at slow speeds (1000-1500rpms) but when I get it up on plane and start cruising (3500 rpms and up) it gets hot quick and the alarm sounds...

    Temp Alarm

    Hi Yall. I have a 1996 150HP (V6 2.0L). Just bought it a couple weeks ago. I brought it in to a mechanic and it checked out fine. I did have to put on new fuel/temp/volt gauges. The water pump pumps great and the motor dosen't seem to be getting hot. The temp gauge is 0-280 and the t-stats...
