    Is fixed!! I was able to take a couple of old pals onto Lake Oroville when they came up to visit. The boat ran flawlessly. The old cathedral hulls sure are a solid handling and smooth cruising design. I was intimidated about putting the hard drive back on..aligning the drive proved to be a cinch...

    unGodly grinding noise coming from 165 outdrive

    Hello Folks. OK, so, I learned how to fiberglass, and glassed the deck on my '71 Thunderbird cuddy. Hand buffed 15 years worth of oxidation off of the hull, swapped out the lower outdrive, bought a new prop, buttoned up the wiring, new gauges where needed, new Walmart seats, new carpet, etc...

    Greetings wise and knowledgeable boat wizards, I have a 'cruiser 160 in my '68 Thunderbird cuddy. i was able to aquire a complete 1988 mercruiser 4.3 V6, with complete outdrive. the hydrolic trim system appears to have somewhat improved in the twenty years difference, and the 160's didn't work...
