Hi All,
I am attempting to replace my fuel pump on my 1996 MerCruiser 3.0L engine and need some expert help, as I am a novice on this one. I have detached the hose coming in from the fuel tank and the small rubber tube connected to the fuel pump but can seem to figure out how to detach the...
Hi All,
I would love any opinions you might have on my situation. I pulled my 1996 20' Maxum with a Mercruiser 3.0L engine out of winterizing today, cleaning it up, starting the engine to get the Fogging solution out of the engine and a general check. I had the engine running for about 12...
Hi All,
I have a 1996 Escort boat trailer carrying a 20' boat that is in need of new brakes, new hubs, new wheels, etc. as last time I towed it, it sounded like it was rubbing metal on metal. I finally got it taken apart this past weekend sure enough, it looked terrible. I'm a novice here but I...
Hi All,
I dropped on new LED tail lights last weekend on my boat trailer to add a little extra punch to the trailer. My left side blinker has never worked that well as it has always had a very dim blinker. I have a four pin connector coming off my Honda Pilot and as I was reconnecting the...
Hi All,
I decided to change out my existing trailer lights with LED's to get better lighting and to try to fix a fading blinking problem. The old lights worked fine as running lights and the right blinker worked okay but the left blinker was dim. I changed out the lights with the new LED...
Hi All, I have a 20' Maxum and my fuel gauge is no longer reading. I have been told that I need a new Fuel Sender but want to know if there is a specific one I need for my model of boat or if they are generic in nature. I'll take whatever advice I can get and thanks for the help.

I am winterizing my boat and am trying to remove the positive side of the battery cable but I am turning the wing nut (which is on there very tight) and the whole post is moving, thus not allowing the wing nut to screw off. Any thoughts on what to do next?
Thanks for any help you can give me.

Hi Trailer Experts,
I am not an expert on boat trailers but have had mine for ~10 years and am doing catch up work this summer for it to remain safe on the road. I have already changed the coupler and a few other items and am now going to try to replace the bearings next. While preparing to...
Hi All,
I need some expert advice. I currently have a 1996 20" Maxum boat and an Escort trailer. The trailer is not in bad shape but some it has gone into some disrepair and probably needs new tires, new bearings/bearings repacked, a new breakaway chain, new tongue since the one now is rusted...
Hi All,
I have a 20' Maxum with a 135HP I/O Mercruiser. My fuel gauge has been stuck on full for the last two seasons and I finally started to pull it apart. I pulled out the fuel sensor and it appears that the lever that holds the float and allows the float to go up and down is very not...
