I have a 1966 33hp evinrude. I rebuilt the carb this spring and don't think it was ever right. The motor would run somewhat good with both the high speed and low speed adjusters all the way in and would run like crap with either unscrewed a little bit.

I found a brand new evinrude carb for a 40hp 1968 evinrude. It looks the same besides the 1968 has a fixed high speed jet and my 1966 has a adjustable high speed.
Will the one with a fixed high speed work on my 1966 33hp?
I got a 1975 V6 Volvo-Penta overheating. Is there two water pumps on this? Should I replace both if so. I replaces the one on the front of the motor about 7 years ago. What are the part numbers of the impellors ect that I will need. Thanks a million for the help.
I have a 33hp 1966 motor that I have on my 17' boat. It doesn't go fast enough to slam into the waves. If I start up my 7.5hp kicker it really makes a difference and gets the boat moving. Will it hurt either motor having them running together? They both pump water while moving.

Ok so last night I got all my wiring done with a new switch and found out my choke is shorted. If I move the power connecter on the choke it will work but only when you move it. Can you buy a new one cheap or what do you have to do to fix it?
I found the carb kit on iboats but it doesn't have the float. Anyone know the new OMC number for the rebuild kit and also the number for the fuel pump rebuild kit? Please let me know. Thanks
