Can anyone help in identifying the year of a Honda 8HP 4 stroke. The serial number & model is:<br />BACL 1208231<br /><br />The motor is silver/grey with a large "Four" written on the back. :confused:

I have recently taken off my 1991 90 HP force and placed it on a sawhorse. I would like to be able to run the motor connected to a battery but not sure how. Does anyone have any idea or a wiring diagram for the force? It came out of a 1991 Bayliner Capri if that helps. :confused:
I've done alot of research on repowering my 19ft Bayliner. I've come across a 1999 90hp Evinrude FICHT V4 but have heard several mixed emotions about the engine. From what I understand, OMC had alot of problems with the V6 FICHT engines and the V4's are quite good engines. Can anyone verify...
I am looking a purchasing a new motor for my 19ft Bayliner Cuddy. I've been looking at a 1999 Evinrude 90hp ficht for $5995.00 cdn or a 1998 135 Merc Optimax for $6000.00 cdn. Any good points or horror stories about the above engines would be appreciated. Suggestions also welcomed. :D
