No I don't have a pressure gauge, I recall reading that there is the ability to connect one up, I think this might be the next step before I pull it apart properly.
Does anyone know if the pressure gauge for this motor is electronic or mechanical?

I put a new pump kit init 2 yrs (15 hrs) ago and outboard mech replaced the impellor last week.
Everything that has been done has improved it, a month ago it overheated at 1200 - 1400 RPM within 5 minutes.
Can I clean these things out without removing the engine?
So, as per the subject, I have a 2002 Mercury 150 EFI with a specific overheating problem.
When I start it and leave it idling, it has a good water tell tale and no overheating problem.
At 1400 RPM the temp gauge increases to over half (merc analogue gauge), the over temp continuous alarm sounds...
