    Torque value

    Putting my 89 merc. 4.3 back together & can't find the torque specs in my manual on the four bolts to the exhaust elbow (riser). Anyone know what that is off hand. Thanx in advance

    Engine removal

    1989 mercrusier 4.3 alpha 1....Is it possible to pull the engine with the stern drive in place & if so, is that a good way to also put the engine back in, using the drive shaft to align the engine?

    I have an 89 mercruiser, alpha 1. I had water coming in the boat & did an experiment to see where. Boats on the trailer, I plugged the exhaust port after removing the exhaust bellows & opened the exhaust at the riser. I ran some water in the exhaust tube & sure enough water almost instantly...
